Our 2012 season is going to be the biggest, baddest, most rockin’-est Highroller season yet! We were accepted as a full WFTDA league in December 2011, and we can’t wait to go out and prove ourselves as the newest members of the East Region.

The bouts will be knock-down, drag-out fights to the finish, and you won’t want to miss a minute! We are offering season tickets that will get you into our six home games this season at a discount price!

General admission season tickets are $50 each, which saves you $10 off advance tickets or $34 off door tickets. We also offer VIP season tickets for $200, which saves you $40 off individual VIP admission. Our VIP lounge includes exclusive club-level seating, food provided by the Barbeque Joint, and beverages from Red Stripe Lager, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Firefly Vodka.

To get your season tickets, please email ThunderKAT. We’ll see you at McAlister Fieldhouse!

The Lowcountry Highrollers are back!

Our exciting 2012 season kicks off with MILITIA OF LOVE, featuring the LCHR All-Stars and Bruisin’ Betties in a rematch against the Charlotte Roller Girls All-Stars and B Dazzlers! Doors open at 4:00PM, and the first whistle blows at 4:30PM as the Bruisin’ Betties take on the B Dazzlers. The Betties were edged out by the B Dazz in both meetings last year, and they are out for a little payback! The LCHR All-Stars will go skate to skate with the Charlotte All-Stars at 6:00PM. Both leagues earned their acceptance into the WFTDA East Region last season, so the stakes are even higher in this bout as the outcome will count towards the teams’ rankings.

Highroller bouts are always family friendly, with kids’ activities and the favorite “push a roller girl” at halftime. For the “big kids,” beer and wine are available, plus all the hard-hitting derby action you can handle! Halftime entertainment will be provided by the lovely ladies of Homespun Hoops.

Our featured charity for this bout is We Are Family, a local organization who provides direct support and resources that have a lasting and measurable impact for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex (GLBTQQI) and straight ally youth ages 16-23 in Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester Counties. Check out our great raffle prizes, and help out this great cause!

The party keeps going after the final whistle blows, so follow us to our afterparty at the Tin Roof in West Ashley!

Tickets are $10 in advance and $14 at the door. Get your advance tickets from City Lights Coffee Shop, Recovery Room, Tin Roof, Red’s Ice House, Two Keys Tavern, East West Health Arts, or from your favorite derby girl! Tickets are also available online through Brown Paper Tickets. Don’t forget that you can watch the bout in style by picking up a VIP ticket, which includes exclusive club-level seating, food from the Barbeque Joint, and beverages from Red Stripe Lager, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Firefly Vodka.

You’ve waited long enough, Charleston. Get your derby fix at the MILITIA OF LOVE!
