Roller Derby: Mischief Managed on August 5th!

Step inside a world where magic is real, your local wizards wear skates… and the hits are hard!!

Wait, what?! That’s right Charleston! Your Lowcountry Highrollers are taking the track to bring you a magical night of Harry Potter and roller derby!!

Join us on August 5th, as the members of LCHR will be sorted into their proper houses, Gryffindor or Slytherin, and take the track! They’ll battle it out to score the most House Points to claim the House Cup!

 

Doors open at 6pm, first whistle at 6:30pm!
Be sure to come early to grab a great seat and participate in all the Potter themed activites!

Do you favor a certain House Team or skater? We are inviting fans to control the game! Want to curse a skater and send them to the box? How about using a special charm spell by adding an extra blocker to the pack? Or how about just some old fashioned House points buying? YOU get to decide how this bout will play out with a Muggle Money donation!

Beer and wine selections will be available for sale (21+); along with delicious food provided by Big Daddy Daves BBQ, a local favorite of the Charleston food truck scene! King of Pops – Charleston will also be on hand with some delicious cold treats!!

Be sure to participate in our Local Charity Raffle for some amazing prizes!! Our sponsored charity raffle and donations will go to the Trans Love Fund! The Trans Love Fund is a proud program of We Are Family, the second oldest LGBTQ support organization in South Carolina. We Are Family is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing direct support and leadership development opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex (LGBTQQI), and straight ally youth ages 7-23 in South Carolina. There’s a good chance that most of us skate better than we sing, but we are in love with love, and we can’ hardly wait for the opportunity to make your Valentine’s Day special!

For only $10, a trio of our skaters will deliver a singing telegram and personalized Valentine’s card, here in the Charleston Area. Possible add-ons include: long stem roses, candy, and/or a beautiful floral arrangement in glass vase, for extra fees.

Charleston PRIDE Double Header!

Join the Lowcountry Highrollers Roller Derby League and Charleston Pride in kicking off Charleston Pride Week 2016 this Saturday, August 6th, with a double header of roller derby!

Get there early to grab a beer, some snacks and a good seat! Doors open at 3:00 pm!

The 1st game will be a PRIDE themed bout at 3:30 pm with the Lowcountry Highrollers’ Bruisin’ Betties (dressed as Unicorns!) taking on the Palmetto State Roller Girls (who will don Rainbows!)

Next up at 5:00 pm, the Carolina Wreckingballs will take on the Race City Rebels Men’s Roller Derby from Indianapolis! You are not going to want to miss this game!! This is the 1st time LCHR will be hosting a full sanctioned men’s bout, and we are so excited!!

Beer and wine will be available for sale (21+). Delicious food will be provided by Dashi and Bacon-Me-Crazy, two local favorites of the Charleston food truck scene! King of Pops – Charleston will also be on site for dessert.

Be sure to participate in our Local Charity Raffle for your chance to win prizes. Proceeds from this bout will benefit Charleston Pride.

After the bout, come celebrate with us at our after party! Come eat yummy food, enjoy drink specials, and see who will be awarded MVPs! After party will be in the downtown Charleston area at Recovery Room!
